Asheville Mayor Terry Bellamy's house on Lancelot Lane in West Asheville was one of several that suffered severe damage after a storm on Thursday afternoon. Bellamy said she wasn't home at the time, but neighbors described the sound as an "explosion." No injuries were reported. The National Weather Service said the storm lasted about a half-hour and contained hail and torrential rain.
